National Grid Upgrade

National Grid Electricity Transmission (NGET) is proposing to enhance the East Midlands electricity network by building and operating around 60 km of new overhead line in Derbyshire.

This is because our existing power lines to do not have the sufficient capacity for all the new sources of electricity due to connect to the network over the next ten years and beyond.
